At Jade Integrated Health, we are offering the same expertise and compassionate physical therapy care from the safety and comfort of home via telehealth video calls. Though we can not see you in person, we hope to continue connecting and helping our community. Many people have questions about what telehealth looks like for physical therapy patients and how is Jade accommodating this new platform. We have been implementing telehealth visits for a few weeks and we are excited about the positive impact it is having for our patients.
Through telehealth, our physical therapist can:

PREGNANCY: Whether it is your first, or fifth pregnancy, your body is changing quickly in alignment, ligamentous laxity and musculoskeletal stresses. Pregnancy is a great time for women to learn about their body and to establish wellness habits. Not only do our practitioners have specialized training, but they also feel passionate about supporting women. Typically, pregnant women come to Jade PT for: pregnancy related pain, bed rest in pregnancy, sciatica, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, low back pain, pelvic pain, thoracic outlet syndrome (numbness in the wrists and hands), incontinence or rib pain.
POSTPARTUM: Jade's women’s health providers are experts in their field. There are many physical and psychosocial changes occurring during this period and we are here to help you navigate these changes in a pain free way. Topics typically discussed in a telehealth postpartum visit include: caring for your perineum and pelvic floor, positional and postural support during feeding, pain prevention and reduction, bowel and bladder function, C-section or tear recovery, lifting ergonomics and return to exercise.
CHRONIC PAIN: Physical therapy can help chronic pain patients maintain or improve daily function, as well as develop the skills needed to take control of their condition, increase activity and improve quality of life. Physical therapy for chronic pain patients can increase flexibility and strength, and improve mental health. The American College of Physicians recommendations treating chronic lower back pain with physical therapy, exercise, and yoga before opioids or surgery.
ACUTE PAIN/SPORTS INJURIES: Acute injuries can be very painful. Receiving expert care quickly can make a big difference in recovery time and function. Receiving care for sports injuries or acute pain will not only reduce pain and increase function, but physical therapist also educate patients to prevent re-injury.
