Medical Billing Specialist - Portland, Maine
This position requires attention to detail and organization to ensure claims are paid in a timely manner. The medical billing specialist will work closely with our billing specialist to process insurance payments, verify benefits and collect patient balance. This position requires prior training and experience.
Job responsibilities include:
Billing provider claims to insurance
Verifying insurance benefits
Tracking submitted claims and following up with insurers to ensure payment
Posting ERA's
Billing patients
Working in EMR for records requests, referrals and patient communications
Respond to PT patient questions regarding their bills
