CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

All classes are taught by experienced certified yoga instructors, occupational therapist and/or physical therapists.

Yoga 1:1

Our primary focus in terms of yoga here at Jade. Private yoga 1-on-1’s offer an opportunity to deepen a yoga practice, address strength, flexibility, balance, postural alignment, breath and motor control. This often carries over to improved everyday function, overall health and enhanced athletic performance.

Yoga is also a great way to ease yourself back into an activity following an injury as the functional alignment taught during a private Yoga 1-on-1 session can be applied to any movement practice.

We have an experienced and talented team of physical therapists and an occupational therapist that are also certified yoga instructors who work closely with you to create individualized sequences.

Dynamic Mobility & Pliability

This class builds foundational strength and ease of movement. It's a fusion of myofascial movement, body alignment, breath work, Tai Chi, subtle body internal awareness and fun! You can expect highly personalized attention with a limited number of group participants to build joint and soft tissue mobility through dynamic movement patterns and foundational postures. Each class will introduce and build upon preparatory stretches and floor sitting to create space in the body, improve lung capacity and hone mind muscle coordination. This class is appropriate for participants who value longevity training, whether they are actively aging or an avid athlete (or both!).

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga is specifically designed for the changing needs of a pregnant body. In this class students are gently guided through poses and sequential movements that are safe during all stages of pregnancy. Ample modifications and propping is offered in order to promote the wellbeing of both mom and baby. Prenatal Yoga is focused on decreasing stiffness/soreness, increasing energy, strength and stamina, as well as nurturing the mind-body connection that is so important during labor and delivery. Join other moms to be for this refreshing and relaxing experience in self nurturing.

Stretch for Vets

We know that the stressors Veterans have been through are unique compared to the civilian population, and they deserve treatments that address their specific needs. Whether it's chronic pain or emotional distress, these conditions can be a huge roadblock on the path to a healthy, well-balanced life. Movement is a wonderful tool to help reduce pain, settle the mind, and calm an overactive nervous system. This simple and effective class focuses on a series of stretching, flexibility, and mindfulness exercises that aim to open up chronically tight areas of the body so you can breathe more freely, relax easily, and move more pain free. Exercises are adaptable to a wide range of fitness levels, so we can meet you wherever you are on your health journey.
