Jen Shumway
Jen’s yoga journey began in 2005 when she was pregnant with her first child. She immediately connected with the physical practice of yoga, and quickly began to resonate with the powerful emotional and energetic benefits that the practice offered. Jen’s yoga practice has allowed her to move through life’s ongoing challenges and transitions with greater ease, confidence and authenticity.
In 2011, Jen completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training from Sacred Seeds Yoga School under the direction of Jacqui Bonwell. Jen further explored her interest of yoga and pregnancy and received her prenatal yoga certification in 2012. And in 2015, she completed her yin yoga training with Sagel Urlacher.
Jen strives to teach classes that are a balance of challenge and fun. She encourages her students to trust their own instincts to help to create their own inner awareness to help move through the ups and downs of life.
