The perinatal period is a critical time for new parents. It's important expecting and new parents are supported with quality home health services. Jade Integrated Health and other like-minded organizations and providers are teaming up to raise awareness and increase access. The purpose of the Perinatal Home Health Campaign is to connect quality home health service with new and expecting parents, promote the importance of perinatal home care, and normalize this care in our community. We value a holistic model of care that meets the prenatal and postpartum parents where they are; at home! The goals of this movement is to bring public recognition to home healthcare services in southern Maine and encourage new and expecting parents to access and utilize these services.

Dr. Ali Kopelman, MD, IBCLC, has been a local pediatrician for over 18 years and a certified lactation counselor for over five years. She recently opened Personalized Pediatrics of Maine, a private practice focused on a relationship-based philosophy: families and doctors should have the time to know each other and grow together. She is dedicated especially to newborn/family care, and offers home visits for the first two months of life to members in her practice. Mothers and babies are a dyad -- and shouldn't have the hassle of traveling to various providers to have their needs met!
